Tech stuff:
We’re going to be using Final Cut Pro which is a Macintosh-only program.
FCP system requirements:
- macOS 11.5.1 or later
- 4GB of RAM
- 3.8GB of available disk space
If you already have Final Cut, great. If you don’t, you can get a free 90-day trial here, long enough for the course. If you want to buy it you can get it at the Apple App Store for $300, and if you have a .edu address you can get an educational rate for $200 here (in a bundle that includes Logic and other software).
And as mentioned on the previous page, if you’re using your phone as your camera you’ll need to spend $20 on a smartphone rig (holder) and $7 for a camera app. Details later.
